A place, where people of different origins are encountered with open arms and open hearts encouraging them to talk to each other, become acquainted with one another and of course to have fun, but also to help each other, learn from one another and trust each other more and more.

We offer free German lessons -

on Friday from 3 – 4 pm

German lessons are very important and a good start towards becoming integrated in German society, since the ability to communicate is what makes integration possible in the first place. However German lessons are not enough. Integration will not take place, if foreigners learn German, but no relationships with Germans develop.

At Café International in Meerholz we want to provide room for and promote relationships by offering various activities or by even simply enjoying conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.

We call ourselves a Café, but we do more than just sit around, drink coffee and talk. We also play games, do handicrafts, bake something, celebrate together and help each other in different ways. Some activities take place outside of our opening hours, such as picnics, festivities and excursions.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a German or a foreigner, whether you’re new or have been here for a long time – if you would like to get in touch with people in the area, then the Café International is the place for you!

Coffee and pastries are free, (of course, we would be pleased about a donation)…and we‘d be even more pleased about a visit!

‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’                                              (Matthew 25  - The Bible)
